Baltimore, MD – Today, Democratic candidate for governor Alec Ross announced Julie Verratti as his running mate. Julie is a co-founder and co-owner of Denizens Brewing in Silver Spring, MD and is a former Senior Advisor at the US Small Business Association and LGBT political activist. Julie lives in Silver Spring with her wife, Emily Bruno.

Julie played varsity soccer and tennis at Montgomery College before receiving a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University. She has a law degree from George Washington University. Julie lives in Silver Spring with her wife Emily and their two dogs Lola and Jolene. She still plays soccer on the weekends and enjoys riding her motorcycle whenever weather permits.
