Julie Verratti Joins Alec Ross to Form Maryland’s Ticket of Tomorrow

Julie is the owner-operator of Denizens Brewing in Silver Spring with her wife and brother-in-law.

Baltimore, MD – Today, Democratic candidate for governor Alec Ross announced Julie Verratti as his running mate. Julie is a co-founder and co-owner of Denizens Brewing in Silver Spring, MD and is a former Senior Advisor at the US Small Business Association and LGBT political activist. Julie lives in Silver Spring with her wife, Emily Bruno.

Julie is a Silver Spring native and has focused her career on entrepreneurship and activism. Her career highlights include: Co-founder and Director of Business Development at Denizens Brewing in Silver Spring, MD.
Presidential Management Fellow and Senior Advisor at US Small Business Administration.
Former electoral and political organizer for Human Rights Campaign, Equality Maryland, and Equality Massachusetts.
Current Board of Directors member for the national Brewers Association. Former board member of Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Julie played varsity soccer and tennis at Montgomery College before receiving a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University. She has a law degree from George Washington University. Julie lives in Silver Spring with her wife Emily and their two dogs Lola and Jolene. She still plays soccer on the weekends and enjoys riding her motorcycle whenever weather permits.
