Have you checked in with your website lately? No one opens a brewery to sit behind a computer coding or blogging all day, but a strong and useful website is more crucial than many brewery owners realize.

“Most customers will visit a brewery website before they ever step foot in a taproom,” says Emily Hutto, founder and CEO of RadCraft, a marketing firm for the craft-beer industry.

In short, your website still matters.

“A lot of breweries are asking, especially in today’s world with different social-media outlets, if they even need a website,” says Chris Overlay, founder and CEO of Get Hoptimized, another craft-beer marketing firm. “The reality is, a website is mega-important. … It’s the ultimate information resource for your business.”

Plus, websites can provide revenue opportunities, he says, making it easier for customers to buy your merch and beer, book private events, and more.
