A recent study in the journal Marketing Science, published by INFORMS, investigates the acquisitions of different craft breweries, looking at how both consumer sentiment and sales changed over the ensuing quarters. Those changes give us one view on the potential impact of different types of acquisitions. This graph, based on data from the study, shows the impact of different acquisition types in local and nonlocal markets.
